I just got 275 injectors, my friend said i need to get the valves adjusted while i have the valve cover off.

Is this nessessary on the late model trucks. The haynes manual says no. ?

If you have the valve cover off, might as well check the valve adjustment. It's easy to do and you will have the peace of mind knowing it's right.

I would check them for sure. It is easy and fast. IMO, if you have 50K miles or more it is mandatory... ... .

I think the manual calls for checking valves @ 100k. I checked mine @ 97k or so just before a 6k family trip. They were so close to spec. it was frightening. But, like the rest said "it can't hurt to check em" If you have to adjust any make sure you spin the crank a few revolutions and check them again.

Happy tweaking.
