Does anyone know the correct procedure vor the 2nd gen? I coulld only find 3rd gen info. I have valve cover off and I can't find tdc on balancer? am I missing something?

Thank's

ok--on the front cover is the breather with the hose coming off of it--you need to take the hose off and then unscrew the plastic breather---you'll need a mirror and maybe a flashlight---on the front cover at 12 o'clock is a mark( raised line) --now with the mirror and light look into the hole where the cover was--you will see a nut and a flat washer--on the flat washer there is a corresponding line---to get to TDC you need to align the lines--you can adjust 1/2 the valves---do you know which ones or do you need that info also---once you've adjusted these you need to move the mark to the 6 o'clock and then you can do the rest of the valves--to turn the engine over to align the marks use a socket and ratchet on the alternator nut----chris

I believe Shop manual calls for cold. I've always done it cold on mine - only twice once @ 100 k and then when I installed new sticks - just cause I was there already. They were still fine from the 100 k adjustment @ 140 k/
