Although I have not installed a valve body myself, I made the same request.

A Transmission Professional E-mail me with the below listed information:

It's really not that hard at all. Just remember to disconnect the batteries, remove the harness off of the case connector, remove the neutral switch and linkages before removing the valve body. The only sticky spot is the parking rod. Rather than removing the rod with the valve body I just remove the the C-Clip off of the rod first and drop the valve body straight down and then reverse procedures with the install. Usually takes me 30 minutes, but thats with a lift and air tools. Once you get there you'll see that its not that bad. Always reuse your oem pan gasket! It is a very expensive gasket, reuasable and seals better than the cork, paper or rubber aftermarkets. :)

Please let me know how everthing works out. I'm still up in the air about it myself. Are you replacing the Torque Convertor? Thanks

Those instruction are good especially for the parking lock rod. Another thing to be careful with on reinstall watch the small greenish yellow plastic piece on the shift pawl. If you force it (VB) the plastic piece will break and you will have no park. Make sure it clears the edge of the transmission -you have to slightly angle the valve body to accomplish this. Once clear the VB goes right up. Attach the parking rod c-clip and bolt it back up.

Thanks' for those good suggestions, but I'm just reading them now after I got the thing all changed out :-laf

It wasn't bad, just really messy ;)

The hardest part was installing the parking rod, but that was because I didn't move the gear selector on the VB the first few times I tried installing it, once I remembered to move that everything went back in easy.

I still have to fill it up w/ fluid and see how it goes.

I did do the ATS converter, but I had my dealer install it when they put in a new transmission I had replaced under warranty.

Next up is the wiring thingy that they give you to splice in, and the commander, and it's all done :)

On the lockup wire use Male & Female connectors, that way if the unit fails you can re-connect the lockup wires back to stock. Orange w/black stripe (TCC)
