has any one ever dealt with dunrite converters or hts? any feedback on their valve bodies and/or shift kits will be appreciated. i bought a transbuddy kit from dunrite. i had two people look at the kit and discourage me from using it. (one of the people is a dodge A tech transmission mechanic. ) I talked to hts and was pleased with the conversation their valve bodys sound much more simple and installer friendly. thanks for any help.

Installing the kit is not for the faint of heart. If you F'up you are F'ed. There is no going back after you drill it out. They sell VBs that are finished. If you want to gamble on the 3 c notes, do so. I did and I'm happy. The trick is to follow the instructions, if you have a question call. You'll like the way it feels towing, feels like an Allison through 3rd pre loc-up. Mike

I did the vb kit from Dunrite and it did take a while to install cuz I wanted to make sure I didn't eff it up, I am also a Dodge tech. The other kit I had was from sonnax that someone else installed. It shifted hard and actually delaminated the kickdown band (second gear) and lock up would slip pulling a 6000# trailer. After I installed the Dunrite kit into a vb that another tech had laying around at the shop and installed it into my truck and the differences were noticed immediately. Part throttle shifts were much smoother and the lock up slip is gone even with the comp turned up, before I could make it slip on level one. I definately recommend the Dunrite kit and I might even upgrade to one of his converters too.

I am a diesel repair tech and have installed 2 of these kits they work as advertised and I am quite impressed with what they do for $75. 00. Just pay attention and look twice and drill once.
