Whats up guys, here is a question for anybody who really knows there 47re valve bodys. I have a 97 with a 47re. The transmission is completely built full billet, tripple lock. I installed a transgo shift kit when I did the other work. I love the way this thing shifts! I just want to know what I need to modify to get lockup while manually shifting. Right now if I engage the lockup circuit, I only get lock up in drive position (in 3rd and OD only) what do I need to drill out to get pressure to the lock up servo in all gears??? Or is this an electrical issue I. E. no + to solinoid befor paramiters are met by the computer? I know the orange with a black stripe gets grounded? My truck makes WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much tq to not have 1st and 2nd gear lock up. Thanks for your help!

Both hydro and electric

It's my understanding you will need to modify the Electronics and the valve body.

For sure you need some type of lock up box.

If you are low on funds you might DYI a box for an exhaust brake.

Just rewire it ?

SFB

I have an Em-Jay unit which is no longer available.

You need to modify the VB so it will provide pressure to the lockup solenoid all the time. 47RE only allows lockup pressure in 3rd and 4th. You might look at your transgo instructions they may tell you how to do it.
