Valve Cover Decals

After years of looking at them, the question finally hit me. What do the decals that are on valve cover 1 mean? They normally have a few numbers on them and that is it. Do they corespond to the motor changes? Are they year specific? Are they just decoration to look pretty?

Decor. I like 'em. I had to tape them off when I painted the valve covers on my trucks.



My 1990 is not the same as the 92, so yes, they are specific. I'm not so sure that even the engines that share the same CDL have the same code on the sticker.
