OK, all you really, smart Cumins experts out there please tell me what a Valve cover gasket rocker box is?? "03" HO 305.

Had the truck in for an oil leak (seeping) along the top of the head. Service adviser said it was a gasket that needed replaced, Today sent the wife to retrieve the truck, (should have gone myself) and the work order says.

1. Repar for leak at the BED Plate Gasket

2. Replaced Valve cover Gasket Rocker Box

No charge as still under warranty

"rocker box" sounds like a strange way to say "head". You know, the thing that holds the rocker arms? Very strange.

There is a valve cover gasket, and a rocker box gasket directly below the VC gasket that is between the head and valve cover. The injector wires go through the rocker box.

The rocker box is the section of head that the rockers are bolted to. The rocker box has the rocker box gasket under it and the valve cover gasket on top of it.

Rocker Box

Thanks Guys, after looking at the engine, one can see the location of the box, Don't understand why it's built that way, but hey as long as it works! :D
