Valve Cover with Breather

Hope someone can help me out here. Awhile ago i saw a picture of a 24 valve motor, On the valve cover it had 3 chrome breathers on it. I' am looking to do the same thing but only with 2. I'm only doing this for looks to make the engine bay look better. If anybody has info or a pic of it please post it. Would appreciate it. Thanks kelly

Are those breathers functional, wouldn't oil misting on the chrome be a PITA?

Matt, The intake is a Banks Twin Ram 12 valve intake. From reviews on this site they're pretty much more looks than bang. I believe that is one of Power By Poole twin turbo set-ups looking at the clean welded turbo piping.

Thanks for the info, I thought it might have been a custom thing but would know better if I read the 12v forums more. Poole does make some nice looking stuff for sure.

I've wondered that myself, I would think it would require a lot of cosmetic maintenance to keep the oil film & consequent dirt accumulation under control.



I think the extra breathers are to deal with increased blowby caused by high boost with twins especially during competition. I know those without them often remove their oil fill cap to keep from overpressuring the crankcase.
