I'm preparing to do valve lash adjustments to my 99 workhorse. I've done this 10 years ago to my 93 truck so I feel fairly confident. One question I do have is how much pinch or looseness sould I be feeling when I'm sliding the feeler guage through the gap ? Thanks for any advice.

I adjusted mine 'till it grabbed the feeler. Then backed off a little 'till the feeler slid with little resistance. If you get them all the same it's more important then an exact figure.

You should feel a slight drag on the feeler guage while passing it through the gap.
