valve stems

Here's a good one. Pep boys said they had to replace my tire sensors because every time
you break down a tire and replace the tire the valve stem will not seal and leak. Had tires replaced
before and no sensor replacement. They hooked me for forty bucks. Any comments????

My guess they "leaked" really bad when the techs failed to properly R&R the tires and broke them, or just wanted a few extra coins in the sale. I have seen some businesses add on a "seal kit" for each valve/sensor.

My nearly 6.5 year old 585,000 mile truck still has its ORIGINAL valve stems and TPMS sensors, tires have been replaced many times.

So, PEP Boys just rooked you for 40 bucks, but 40 is really cheap for 4 sensors, or did you mean valve stems?
I'd be wondering if they actually replaced them or not.

They look new. The ad for the tires give one price but when you check out its a lot more. Finally got
the install price removed. That helped.
