I was just reading an SAE article about diesel fuel additives and it prompted me to take a look through some of the MSDS's. I noticed that the Valvoline Synpower additive is 80-90% kerosene. I'm not saying that's bad, I'm just pointing it out in the interest of discussion...

... so if you added one gallon of additive to 33 gallons of #2, one would expect your milage to go up about 3% soley on the basis that you have added 1 gallon of fuel.
