I recently purchased a VanAaken box for my 2000 Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel. It has been on the truck for about 2 weeks now and I have noticed some odd behavior in the vehicle that wasn't there before installation and am hoping you can help me. When the cruise is set you can hear the engine changing RPM quite rapidly (surging), not so much that you actually feel it and mostly on flat terrain, as soon as it is forced to accelerate it seems to go away. Today I had the cruise set and got to some rolling hills and noticed that it would not maintain the set speed. I had the cruise set at 67 mph and near the top of the hill it was down to 60 mph and then a sudden burst of throttle came on just as I crested the hill that happened three (3) separate times. I also noticed that when idling through town it was almost as if it had a miss. The box that I have also has a grey connector with an orange center and an orange wire and an orange wire with a black stripe that I could not find a connection for. Can you enlighten me on this situation? Thank you.
