Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Van Aaken Smart Box??

Hello all,



I'm getting a SB ofe Clutch put in right now & this itch is killing me... ... . the shop sells the Van Aaken box & pushes this product really hard. I pull some heavy trailers & drive real hard. This box has about 65 hp if I remember correctly & there is no on/off/stage settings. This is always on (good or bad?) Anyone have any opinions on this product? (also adding a standyne fuel filter/pump combo).

No you didn't say anything wrong!!

The VA boxes are good.

You have the guages and a open exhaust so that helps keep the heat down. Next you are chalenging the turbo, so buy the box and watch the EGT!!!

Does this box add boost? What is the accdeptable limit for the stock turbo?

We sell tons of them everyweek, great product. You can get a switch for it, turns it off and only only though no optional HP levels etc. We seem to get lower EGT's and better bottom end off line performance with it as compared to the other brands of 65-75 HP boxes etc. Call us if you have any questions we'll be glad to help.

Thanks guys... . now I'm stuck in the NV 4500 to NV 5600 swap!! I'm on the fence with this one (good threads here for that though)... . uggghhhhh - If it wasn't for this money tree I've been growing, I might be losing my mind!! :--)
