van Aaken SmartBox V5 or SmartBox R

Trying to decide between the two. Mark @ PDR says they provide the same HP and Torque, the only difference is the R version plugs between the VP44 and ECU and the V5 plugs into the diagnostic port similar to the Edge EZ. They also both incorporate a boost fooler.



It seems there has to be some type of difference or they wouldn't have made the boxes attach differently.



Any help would be appreciated.

I think the only difference is that the R version will void your warranty because you have to remove a self destructing sticker from the connector. Of course, I thought I was wrong once before, but I was mistaken.
