Van & truck seat interchagability

Hi,

does anyone know if the same era(92-93) Van Captains chairs are the same as the pickup seats. . I'm looking for some captains chairs to change out from the 2nd gen 40-20-40 seat that is stuck in my 92 right now. .

there are a lot more vans at the junk yards around here than trucks... ...

I have van seats in my 'ole blue' 93. They are not the same exactly as far as bolt in but they are more comfortable than the original. It didn't take an awful lot of fudging brackets etc to use them, mostly a little cut and fit on flat metal to link the original base and the van seats. The back lays down more and I can sleep better in the van seat. (If sleep is what you call naping on the road at a rest stop or truck stop).



I would think the second gen seats would be a better choice than the van seats. I am using a second gen for some of my road work lately. Perhaps you need to spend a bit of time with mounting for a better fit.
