I was pulled over a couple days ago because my license plate is getting hard to read, that was the excuse anyway. I'm sure it was really a profile stop. Anyway, that got me to thinking of getting vanity plates for my nearing million mile passage. Any suggestions welcome.

Was it in Arizona?:-laf They passed a law a few years ago where the fancy metal plate borders are outlawed if it covers any part of the word "Arizona" on the plate. I pulled mine off but I see them all the time.

Gary,

Yep, you should advertise a million miles on your plate! :D Not many can do that. I voted for cholice 4. I think it explains it better.

It was in west TX. The speed limit is 80 out there and I was putting along at 57. My count for profile stops now standsat TX-3, AR-1, TN-1 and OH-1. Three of those six times I was "driving too close to the right line". :-laf

57 in an 80 they must o thought you had just left the local watering hole and were still trying to get yer bearings about ya :-laf
I agree with the others I like #4 as well
#5 sounds good as well

The trooper probably thought you had one too many silver bullets... "putting along at 57-mph" and hugging the white line on the right. :-laf It's a wonder you didn't get run over.

As the price of fuel goes up my speed has been going down. I used to run 70 when empty and 62 or so loaded. Then I went to 65 empty, got another mile or two per gallon. After I installed the G56 with the lower O/D ratio I dropped my towing speed to 60 and empty speed to 63. I found I was making more money and wasn't exhausted at the end of the day. Now I tow at 57 and only drive faster empty if I have a time crunch.
