I know this will bring lots of answers and comments but I can't seem to find what the stock steel wheel width is for the various years of our trucks. I have an opportunity to purchase the stock steel chrome wheels from a 1998 - 2500, the guy said they were a 6. 5" width,, how does that compare to the stock steel wheels on my 2002 - 2500. . Are mine also 6. 5" or 7. 0" in width? I am not really interested in running big tires,, just in picking up an extra set of wheels to run summer road tires instead of eating up my mud tires towing a trailer on the road.

The model year 2000 Ram 2500's have the following wheels listed in the parts catalog:

Forge aluminum wheel (WDZ) is 16 x 8. 0.

Steel wheel (WDV) is 16 x 7. 5.

I imagine model years 2001 & 2002 are the same.
