Alright gentlemen I need a hand. I plan on installing a VDO visions 0-15 psi boost gauge as my fuel pressure gauge to go with my piro and boost of the same type.

My question is has anyone else done this and what did you use for a sensor and how does it work for you etc.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. :D

Ya gotta love these trucks!!!

That's what I did, and there is no problem. BUT, I am doing what most here don't like, and that is running a fuel line into the cab... . the gauge is a mechanical pressure gauge so a sensor won't work. But, you can buy the Autometer isolator, and use it with your VDO gauge. This will isolate the fuel from your cab.

I've been told by someone who has been in this business for a long time that the Isolators don't work that well with diesel fuel. I took his word on this, since I had no knowledge of running isolators with diesel, if it was gas there is no way I would run it straight into the cab.

He suggested running a 6' braided stainless to the lowest pod of a three pod A-pillar mount. I did it and it works great. He also said to trade the Schrader valve from the vp-44 with the banjo on the bottom of the fuel filter, which I did, decored schrader and hooked up my braided stainless, good to go, no pulsing no leaks either.
