Question:VE pump replacement
After losing MPGs on my injector pump rebuild, are there any new or reman. pump available that I can trust? Havn't found any other problems with the trucks MPG problem.

No new pumps built for many years. Everything you get is a reman with added parts. Depending on the knowledge of the builder results will vary.

NTG racing is where I went to have the work done. Omega was their pump rebuilder. Tried to talk with Omega, he got very defensive and said it Joe's problem. Well Joe didn't fix it. He's stumped. Talk to several other diesel shops about the problem. Who did the pump rebuild ? They just rolled their eyes and said that might be the problem. We will take it out and have it rebuild at another pump rebuilders shop. Maybe that will fix it. At my expense of course.

Thanks for the referal. Called and had a nice long talk with Eric, he seems very knowledgeable. But didn't have the answer to my problem.

The answer lies in the setup and build of the pump, it always does. They are finicky critters and they is a dearth of knowledge on precise settings for them, the ranges are too wide to be exact and can make all the difference in performance and mileage.

Unfortunately, you will have to learn how to build them yourself, or,, pay someone to tinker until it gets where you want to go.

So much info. The pump was was taken apart and reinspected & OK'd at Express diesel a Bosch service center, put back together and run on there machine and recalibrated. (no change) I have also be told (by another pump rebuilder) that the pump isn't the problem, as it run good and it wouldn't if it was the pump. Injectors rebuilt. (no change) Filters all changed. (no change) No leaks found. Good boost. Doesn't smoke. RPMs under 2000. Odometer check it right on. Timing is advanced.
Not sure where or what else to look at or try. Talked to Cummins, sure bring it in we'll find it @ $$$$$$$ an hour, told them what had been checked so far, "oh".
