I have them and they DO make a difference imo, but others may disagree. Cornering traction is greatly increased. The small stutter bumps that usually cause the rear end to skip are now soaked up by the shackles and shocks. The smaller bumps in a straight line also disappear. Basically with good shocks and the Velvet Ride shackles you get about 2 inches of "Cadillac ride"
HOWEVER-
Once the shackles lock out due to suspension travel, you still have very heavy springs and so larger bumps are unchanged by the shackles. Bilstein shocks deal with the larger bumps the best imo...
