Vendor Area on the TDR Roundtable?

Have the powers that be ever considered adding a Vendors area ot the Roundtable BBS? Other big enthusiast BBS's have done so with good results. They usually have a different "tier" for the Vendor memberships (4x or 5x the usual subscription).



Is there any acceptable way to currently "advertise" special deals for TDR members via the bulletin board? ie. If a small local company would want to advertise their service at a reduced rate for TDR members.

There is a section in the TDR Classifieds for group buys, vendor specials and TDR Member basement enterprises.

We have discussed in the past about have a vendors forum and talked it over with a number of vendors and there wasn't enough interest by those vendors in doing so. Vendors can post in the forums just as any member can although they are more restricted in what they can post (pricing for example). If you look at the site guidelines under the website features menus at the top you'll see the sections that deal with what vendors can and cannot post in the forums. There is a classified ad section specifically for vendor sales and group purchases as mentioned - and the classifieds get a LOT of traffic. They also have the options of banner ad and/or magazine ads. We do have other ideas for vendor participation that we are considering and discussing with them for the future.
