2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission vent air smells like mildew????????????

what can be done so when i turn the vent on it wont smell like mildew, old smell????????????????anyone have a fix for this?

Always turning off the AC or defroster a mile or two before shutting off the truck seems to help with mine.

Give this stuff a try. Just turn on your A/C, not on max, and spray in through your heating and A/C air intake from under your hood. I have used BG products spray and it works well.

I heard Lysol works also. I try to do what turbo tim said, but usually forget.

DIESEL FREAK2 at the car lot i work at we spray lysol in the a/c vents in the trucks and in the fresh air vents under the hood it kills the mildew good luck

Just spray in a couple of shots of your favorite athletes foot spray at the base of the windshield and your problem will be solved.

I notice my '01 2500 AC system has not been draining condensate water normally after I shut it off. Does anyone know where the drain hole is? I think mine is plugged up along with the mildew smell. I checked the DC shop service manual but they don't mention the drain in the AC section.
