Vent Visors, In-channel or taped?

I also have Ventvisors in channel that cracked the first time I rolled my window up. It was however my fault with the install. Vent Visor also gave me a whole new set as they have a lifetime warranty and told me to take out the one I needed and trash the rest of the set. A++ Customer Service even after I admitted guilt.

Good to do the install and first couple of runs of the window when it is nice and toasty outside... . warm temps make a big difference with these things.

well thank god i went with the in channel . last week i was at a friends house had my son dog in the truck. the window was cracked a little. well as we were standing there i heard a noise i knew the day was coming he locked the power locks and my keys were in there . i pulled out the visor and and had enough room to put my hand in there . durn that dog was lucky that night lol.

The '03's had a hard seal that would scratch the tint. I had my windows retinted twice in the first week I owned the truck because of this. The later models had a felt? seal that didn't scratch. I swapped seals with a guy that wasn't going to tint his windows. Not a problem in the three years since.

There is a TSB for the scratching, had all 4 of mine replaced at the dealer. Also got a few bucks back to fix the window tint!!!

Thanks for the input everyone. You've talked me into going with the in-channel. I picked up a set of Wades today. Very easy install. I went with the Wades because they are not as "Dark" as some of the other's I've seen. With my gauges on the pillar, the pillar is already big. With the Wades, I can still see through well.

I have the Weathertech in channel. Had them on the last truck for 8 years. Work great.

In channel vent visors on the Ranger for about 8 years now. They scratched the glass on the top 1/4" of the windows but they are still rolling along. Specifically purchased tape on vent visors for the Ram because of this.
