Attention: TDR Forum Junkies I got new vent window seals from JC Whitney. In installed one, and it doesn't seem to be any better than the 20-year-old seals in my truck. JC Whitney was the only place I could find them. Does anyone produce better ones?
Maybe they would be tighter if I replace the lock handles? The plastic buttons are likely worn down on mine.
My vent glasses have the Chrysler logo on them, so I assume they are factory, they barely contact the rubber seals, and look as if the glass is too small.
Was this just a poor design from the factory with no good way to quiet them down other that sealing them closed with electrical tape? They were designed when the speed limit was 55. Going 75 puts a lot more suction on the windows and they hiss loudly.
