Can anyone give me specific documentation from RAM or Cummins on the 67,500 mile service for 2013 and up. I know the CCV requires replacement but service manual and dealer keep saying EGR requires cleaning. I cannot find difinitive proof of no service and Geno's sells complete service kit also.

Thanks

No EGR cleaning is required at 67,500 per my 2014 maintenance guide. The 2013 & newer DEF pickups use such little EGR that I guess it's no longer required like on the 2007.5 through 2012 trucks.

Required? Pull the valve and look at the carbon build up.Pay me now or pay me later comes to mind

So if it is part of the mandated pollution equipment would servicing it not be covered under that separate warranty? SNOKING

My 2012 is coming up for this service and I've gone back and forth about it so here's where I stand:
1) Changing the CCV yes: you don't want the crankcase to get pressurized
2) Cleaning the EGR: Cummins has it nowhere in the maintenance plan of the ISB6.7 (or any other diesel engine they make for that matter). In addition to that if it gets clogged it's for the better. It is really a PITA of a job and if soot restricts the flow of exhaust gasses recirculated in the intake... Well that's a good thing...
3) The one think I'm planning on doing is to clean the rest of the intake past the EGR valve. I already remove the MAP sensor every oil change and wash it off with Throttle Body Clean (just about the only thing that cleans off sooty deposits without much of a sweat). In my other diesel car I regularly clean the intake with this: https://www.europaparts.com/liqui-moly-diesel-intake-system-cleaner-400-ml.html and I plan on doing the same in the Cummins

Replacing the CCV filter is a 5 minutes job -> https://youtu.be/Vua7e1rSgjI

I've been buying the Fleetguard filters here -> http://www.truckhelp.com/parts/. Best price & free shipping.

Some of those assumptions are incorrect. If the egr flow goes out of range there will be Dtcs set. If the egr travel goes out of range there will be Dtcs set. Your truck, your call

Several statements have been made which are all correct. Maintenance requirements of 07.5-12 vs 2013+ trucks are not identical.
When it comes to EGR valves and differential pressure sensors, pay me now/pay me later absolutely applies. Keep it clean or don't, it's your truck. Just remember reading this thread and NO whining in a couple years when you are replacing the EGR valve because it gummed up and burned up the actuator. If you don't clean the differential pressure sensor and passages, they will stop up and then you will be dealing with a dtc and power derate. These facts are like death and taxes. It will happen to you, only variable is mileage...and maybe luck.

At what timeframe / mileage intervals are you suggesting these failures will take place for the average owner of a 2013 & up DEF pickup???

Just dug thru the documentation on my '16 and there is no mention of EGR valve cleaning.

Considering EGR is a significant element of the emissions control scheme and EGR valve cleaning is no longer in the maintenance schedule, there must be improved/less fouling compared to earlier years.

I do not have the experience to provide an educated guess on that. My shop specializes in Medium and Heavy trucks, some of which uses the 6.7 Cummins.
The programming and duty cycle are much different from a pickup truck. Maybe someone else could have an intelligent comment. We do "emission tune ups" at various intervals mostly based on manufacturers recommendations. If I would generally follow the maintenance schedule provided with your truck.

I thought an emission or see dealer or service light lights up at 67500.... Told it's a 400 job...
If you were told wolverines made great housepets---would you believe that, too????

The "Perform Service" light will come on in 67,500 mile intervals. On a 2013 & newer DEF pickup, all that's required per the maintenance schedule is a CCV filter replacement........as this thread has repeatedly pounded into the earth. I'm at about 132k miles, and in anticipation of my 135k mile service interval, I have my Fleetguard CV52001 CCV filter on the shelf, cheerfully delivered by Amazon for $73, awaiting installation.

07.5 tru 2012 is set for 67K, 2013 and later only when it's required, of coarse I'll have to check my 2014 owners manual for frequency. Geno's Garage has a kit for cleaning the EGR system that includes the CCV filter.

dfb, I was quoted 1100.00 by my Dealer in Ontario Comifornia. I did it myself with Geno's Kit.
