That's great!
I've heard of the newer Oddyseys losing their quality control. I have Die Hard Platinums from '13 that are basically Oddy's as well and they've been great.

After working on 18 wheelers for 50 years I've learned to always match battery's in parallel because the older battery will drag down a new battery next to it if it's not a matching battery "this is a learned fact"

Yes agree .9 amps is way too much draw it will drain your battery's fast
Start pulling fuses to isolate the draw if you find on fused area drawing dig into that area ie: tail light ect

The FSM shows a procedure for checking draw. I haven't read it too closely. Don't some modules have to goto sleep first?

Ok, the FSM ignition off draw test has a 3 min wait. Has to be under 35 mA. 0.035A. It took over 3 minutes, but it got there. Electric Brake controller was adding slightly, because it was woken up. Also unplugged Ultragage which was adding slightly. For a while I was thinking I'd be spending the weekend hunting down an electrical gremlin or two!#ad

Final, I HOPE, update. Got new batteries provided by AutoZone under warranty, installed yesterday. All seems well. Must have been a bad battery that took out the other. They reset my warranty, so I have 3 years from yesterday free replacement, but I hope to NOT need it.

Might check on that. If I return a warranty battery those batteries are used for the remainder of the warranty. I was a little PO'd when I found out the free 3 year did not start over. Nothing is free.

I expected it to be as you describe.. but the way AutoZone did the transaction.. they refund the original batteries, and core charge, they apply that refund to the new "purchase". The manager had to an override transaction since I had a promotional discount on the original purchase. The receipt I have has nothing on it about the returned batteries, ironically. It has just the purchase of the "new" batteries, as if I paid cash, followed by the standard warranty coverage terms, 3 year free replacement for these. The manager actually mentioned that the warranty was reset, much to my surprise.

The voltage reading that started this is now suspect.. it might never have been as high as indicated (actually I'm almost certain of it now). During more recent testing for the my Dual Alternator circuit, the meter used initially here was found to occasionally read erratically and off.. and HIGH. So it appears that was the issue in this case.. Actually I'm glad I could narrow that down. In any case, the current 220A alternator is able to continue charging the batteries, even with Grid heaters on, so when I complete wiring the second, I doubt I'll see much if any drop in voltage with Grid heater use.

Steady at a normal voltage! Great news! Now what the heck is wrong with the Odessy AGMs that the die after one year! #ad

New batteries are known to go bad right away. I'm in the business of installing batteries in 24v power wheelchairs, which means 2 batteries. Have installed 2 new batteries and had customer come back right away with problems and 1 battery is bad. Just the nature of the beast. Anything man made will fail sooner or later. In this case it was sooner than expected.
