Is City Diesel the only place to get a Dodgezilla turbo?

I would say buyer beware!!

They may have been re-man at one time?

When he talks of no shaft play??. . ???

dents

Why mention if checked out??

PM the guy that is putting roof on Holeset factory.

Ask about their service.

Bet you can tell big difference in reman's they do!

Too much rust, old wire hanging, grease marker?

looks like scrap yard recycled.

Just a quick question about these turbos, what kind of signal operates the vanes. Is it electrical or what. If it is an electical signal where does this come from.

Thanks Kevin

I was wondering the same thing. There is a member on here who has run a vgt turbo on his truck, I just can not remember who it is. I know he blew one up and got another..... I will have to do a search for him...

Not a simple Bolt-on....

Piers has an older thread about the VGT that's good too.

"There are several things that need to be done to make them work on our engines. Need an adapter to mount them to the manifold, the less expensive models are air actuated, so air compressor and tank, they are water cooled, so some minor plumbing, then we need to build a control module that tells it what to do based on several inputs, boost, throttle position, rpm of the engine, rpm of the turbo. One extra feature of this turbo is that when you drop it down to its smallest size & force more air into the pistons it will act like an exhaust brake. The Holset engineers estimated about 150 retarding hp, I'll run some tests and see what we get out of it..... maybe the worlds first "true" high performance brake"
