vibe ques? Do 04.5's w/411's vibe like 373's at 70mph?

This 75mph vibe problem doesn't seem like it will go away any time soon. Does the 411 rears have this problem as well as the 373's? I have a 04. 5 4x4 sht bed auto, just wondering if any of you with 411's have the vibe? Might change gears if it'll work.

Mine doesn't seem to have anything other than what I would call 'normal' driveline noise for a 4X4 at any highway speed. My truck is totally stock, however.

It would be the cummins 600 i'm talking about. the 305hp trucks don't have the driveline vibe i'm refering to. thanks for your input.

My 305 did. I have the 3. 73 gears and it was right around 70 - 72 mph. It also happens with the 4. 10 gears, but at a lower speed. Most of the vibes in this range are actually more consistant with RPM speed rather than vehicle speed. Most guys are seeing the vibration between 2000 and about 2200 rpm which happens to be about 70 mph or so if you hvae 3. 73 gears.



Some guys have found unbalanced shafts, etc, but on my truck, there were two things -- The first was the power steering hose did not have a weight on it to dampen the vibration entering the steering column. Second, the exhaust mount on the transmission can also cause some vibration. Tons of things, do a search and you'll find a lot of info. These were just the two that my truck had.

1900 RPMs @ 70 mph with mine. Vibe starts now at 60 and gets worse as you go faster. Will make you nuts at 70 after a few minutes.

I test drove an 03 long bed, 4x4, 6 spd. w/ 4. 10 rear end. It had the vibe.

Mine has no vibration problems at all, no drone, no nothing. My truck might just be the exception, but I haven't had any problems that others talk about and I now have 12,000 + on mine.



Has anyone compared the manufacture dates i. e. what day of the week your vehicle was manufactured. I have been wondering if the day of the week that they were manufactured might play a role it the problems, like it was built on Friday evening. :-laf

No vibes on my 04. 5 @ any speed; well, atleast not @85mph. Runs real smooth. You know, I think I have to change or add to my profile because I still have my 98. 5. w/125k. Mama drives that one now.
