I have had all four ball joints, tierod ends, shocks and tires within the past two months. Now I have a vibration from 50 to 65 mph. Once I reach 70 it smooths out. I have removed all the gravel from the tread and checked for stuff on the rims, nothing. ANY IDEAS???

Join the club!!! 65k miles and now a vibration. I have replaced all u-joints, front axel, rear driveline, carrier bearing, front driveline. It feels like a tire out of balance. I have had all tires force balanced. For me It's getting real close to dynamite time!!!!

Thanks for the welcome, but as I said I have replaced each and every u-joint on the truck. The really odd thing, is that it seams to be temp. related. When the outside temp is below 35 the vibration stops.

It says you did tires, but I dont know if that is new tires or just had yours balanced. If you got new tires, one might be bad, out of round, slipped belt, etc.

Mine started this yesterday and tommorow it goes in for u-joints. Last week it had a bad sqeak-sqeak for a good day. Sounded like a dry joint.

All four BFGs need re-balanced??? less than 3k on tires, no off roading, strait highway driving. Anyone have this problem?

The toe-in (you want as close to zero as possible) will cause a slower kind of shimmy. Had that happen on mine, and I fixed it by fine tuning the toe-in.

Also, tire pressure, if it's too low, will cause some shimmy.

My 04 just turned 75000 and has been vibrating for the last 10,000 or so. My vibration hits at exactly 30mph and around 65mph.

Still have original tires for now and have had them balanced a couple of times.

When you all refer to front u-joints, do you mean the axle u-joints or the driveshaft u-joints?

Any idea what dealers charge to do the axle? I can handle the driveshaft myself.

Thanks,

Ian
