Recently purchased a used 2002, 2500 XCab, AT with TD. I've added 20m since bought. I am now noticing a vibration coming thru floor-my feet when I have cruise set at 60-65 mph. The vibration only comes when the vehicle starts downhill and the road speed passes the Cruise setting. Do I have a U-Joint(s) going dry? Carrier bearing maybe? Wheel/axle bearing problem? Truck has 59,308 on the odometer(actual), Michelins LTX A/S tires. Any help appreciated. TL

HMMMMM. Since no one else is jumping in (yet) I would start looking under the truck. Check the u joints, bearings, wheel nuts, anything that might devellop some play, maybe the tires need balancing? I guess it depends on how much of a vibration your feeling. Does anyone else feel it? Can you hear anything? Anyone else have any suggestions?

TomL,

For many of us, a vibration similar to what you are describing, is the throttle foot pedal vibrating? Next time you take a drive, set the cruise. When you hear / feel the vibration, gently rest your foot on the throtte peddle. If you feel the vibration, and the noise goes away, congratulations, you have joined the club!

If this is it, I have no idea how to make it go away. I know some have replaced the throttle peddal assembly. Others have put a weight or spring on the peddle???

Give this a try, hope it helps.

Geoff

Is this a 4X4? This may be a more seriouse vibration than you are experiencing, But my tranfer case makes a grinding vibration when the truck outruns the Drivetrain. My bronco did this too.
