I have noticed from time to time that I get a noticeable vibration in the clutch pedal.

It does not matter if the truck is cold/hot.

It is most noticeable when shifting about 2200+ rpm.

It only occurs when shifting up through the gears.

It feels almost like ABS brakes (as far as frequency but not as strong to the touch)

Once it starts, it will remain regardless of how far I drive. Park it for a period of time and its gone.

I have had my fluids checked prior to this by my mechanic and all is well.

The last time this occurred was Sat. night. My truck just didn't seem right (noise/feel) when I backed out of my inclined driveway. Put it in first gear and there was the vibration.

I had a pulling tractor that did something similar when the throw out bearing was going bad. Anyone experience something similar

Mine is very smooth at all times. I also had an 8N Ford that started doing that before the throwout bearing went out. Hopefully it's nothing like that, but it sure sounds like something's out of ballance.

But does it have brakes

But does that 8N have brakes. Our ford has never had brakes. I guess that is why it ends up in the creek every summer. :p :D

It sounds like we have the same problem. I think there are two problems out there some are felt everytime the clutch pedal is pushed in (engine running or not) then the way mine make noise is only when the engine is running and the RPM is around 2,000. Which is the normal shift point so it is really anoying. Mine has been this way since the truck was new and now has 14,000 miles and I think it is getting a little worse. It feels more like a vibration then anything else. You can be setting still in neutral and bring up the RPM to around 2,000 and push in the clutch pedal and about 1/2 through full pedal travel is when I get the noise/vibration. The dealer tryied his best to find the problem but has had no luck. They even went as far as to pull the transmission and clutch assembly. After inspecting everything they couldn't find anything wrong but did put in a new clutch disk and throw-out bearing since they had it all apart, but it made no difference. If you have any luck getting yours fixed let us know because it seems to be one of those problems that nobody can find the cure for

JohndeereG: Have you had any luck at trying to find the problem with your clutch pedal vibration yet? I have the same problem and have not had any luck fixing it yet.

I have something going on too. Since new there has been a "groan" when a shift is made at 1800rpm minimun while the chutch is moving in and out. I have experienced this on many cars and trucks over the years and pretty much consider this normal unless I can see other trucks don't have it.

The thing that I have concern with is that after the truck has been driven at least 30 minutes (regardless of amount of shifts) the pedal/ linkage feels a bit sticky (for a lack of better term) while letting out slowly, as in taking off from a stop. I am thinking that the master piston is swelling in it's bore causing it not to be as smooth as when cold.

Thanks for the reply. I don't know if we have the same problem or not since mine is consistent. It's always the same, but if I find the problem I will post it on TDR so anyone with the same problem may benefit from it.

Thanks GW
