I recently traded so I'm still learning this truck. Had a regular bed on it. replaced with steel flat bed. That vibration shows up at 70-80 mph from the rear. pulling a heavy trailer is smooth sailing. empty trailers or half load it still has the shakes.
truck came with new good year wrangler tires. I checked rims on the rear, 3 of the 4 are bent 1/8 to 3/8 out. I added stop leak, which did help some. U joints are all good. Left rear hub had a slight wobble to it. I pulled axle and was abe to tighten nut 1 more notch to lock ring to nut. What a difference this made....until I hit a rough bridge. started again but did settle down at the next bridge ( not as rough). There is only 2 threads the snap ring can lock on to. I thing I should check bearings on both side and replace if needed.
I think this one was wrecked at on time.
Any thoughts?
