I just changed the motor and trans mts in my 92 4x4. they were really shot, now I have a little too much vibration at idle, I am thinking I need to get the injectors cleaned or replaced as it clears up under load and with some RPM. Anyone had the same problem ??? I also was wondering if the aftermarket mts are harder rubber that the stock ones and if that might be causing the problem... ??? I tried raising the idle a little made it better but it is still there...

I got the one motor mount and the trans mounts from rockauto.com--- The other motor mount I got from hi-lo here in town... the hi-lo mount was harder rubber than the other which may be some of the problem...

On the trans mounts the price was 6$ each and they showed up in 3 days. Can't beat rockauto as the dealer/******* wanted 15$ each and he had to order them!! (B) In a town of 4 million people and 20+ dodge dealers the wharehouse didn't even have them... go figure...

One thing I forgot to mention was the truck sat for a week while I had it apart putting in a rear main seal and waiting for the mounts. . this may be one of the reasons for the rough idle...

Well I checked the valves and they were fine only one or two that were out a little, I double dosed the fuel with injector cleaner and then ran it down the highway for about 2 hrs real hard. Seems to have helped. I probibly need new injectors I will try the cleaner for 2 or three more tanks and if it doesnt get better I will probiblly have to buy some injectors...

If anyone has some spare POD's they arent using I really need/want them... .

Hey RHancock,

I just changed the trans. mounts last week. I have the same problem also. At idle the truck has a annoying vibration and it goes away with a little rpm. Seems to be going away or I am just getting used to it. Prior to the new mounts it was very smooth. I bought my mounts from the local independent parts house. About $5-6. 00 each. Label on box was "Anchor Industries" #'s 2667,2668.
