Hey all, hope you can help with this one. When backing and turning at the same time, the truck shakes like crazy. This is getting worse each time I back up. this is just normal backing up, like out of a parking space. The tighter the turn the worse it is. I can feel it a little bit on slow forward tight turns. It is felt mostly through the steering wheel. and a little through the body.

PLease give me some ideas quick its getting worse every time I back up

Thanks

Check your drive shaft u-joints - check your center carrier bearing drive shaft bearing support (particularily the rubber doughnut is still attached to the u shaped housing), jack the rear of the truck and verify that your rear brakes are releasing when the parking brake is off.

Good luck and happy new year.

thanks redram just came in from doing that all seems fine. I did just have my fluids replaced at grease monkey ( cant do it myself I am disabled, just checking the drive line has me in great pain) I'm wondering if maybe they forgot to fill the rearend. it's a posi, and the tighter the turn the worse the vibration.

If they changed the rear end oil, and it has a limited slip, then it probably needs a little bit of friction modifier added to the oil. The friction modifier makes the oil more slippery, and allows the limited slip to slip when it is supposed to.

If you ever need a hand, just PM me, I'm in Loveland and willing to help.

Just wanted to give a huge thanks to all responses, and even bigger thanks to Mgoncalves for looking at my truck.

We are pretty sure that Grease Monkey put no or not enough friction modifier in.

Once again a big thanks to everyone.
