I have had this problem when i last used my winterfront,I have a very bad vibration when above 1200 RPM gets worse as rpm climbs. My guess is that there is a problem with the fan clutch . Any ideas??

It is totally gone when the winterfront is removed.

Can't say I have seen it before, but it sounds like the cover is upsetting the air flow to the fan and perhaps only one side of the fan is pulling air. That would load the fan blades uneven and cause a vibration. Try opening different area of the cover if you can. Just a guess, but worth a try.

Your truck isn't that old nor does it have a lot of miles. It does have an engine mounted fan shroud. I would check to make sure that it is secured properly. If it is loose or broken you may get a vibration.

Just a shot in the dark.

I have been using the Mopar Winter Front every winter since the truck was new, have run with 4 flaps open, 2 flaps open and all flaps closed. Never notice anything that changed noise or vibration wise from normal operation with the cover off in the summer.

As stated above it sound like you have something loose and the abnormal air flow may be causing it to vibrate.

We tried it on our other truck which is an 06 w/auto and no problems,I think the fan is running all the time and causes a vibration when no air is to it. The first time this happened the dealer said it was a U-joint and replaced it,but did not fix the problem. It only happens with the front on.
Also this is a mopar winterfront

Put the winterfront on and take it to the dealer with the vibration happening and maybe they will get you a boat and trailer to fix it. :-laf Don't tell them the winterfront causes the problem. See what happens, I'm curious??

Glad I saw this thread. I have the same vibration. It seems when I keep it 65 mph or less it is almost non exisitent. As soon as I get to 70 and higher it gets worse. It feels to me like it comes from the hood. I think it has something to do with the airflow under the hood when the winterfront is on. It also seems like it is worse with the more flaps I have closed. I usually run with one or two open. No vibration when I take it off. I just live with it, cause without the winterfront my truck is still cold by the time I get to work.

I have been watching this real close and found out that anytime the fan kicks in it vibrates. I have since removed the winterfront and tried covering up the air to the radiator a little at a time and found out it only does it when the fan kicks in. Is this possibly a bad fan clutch?
