here is a clip of my 592 dyno that i recorded and gave to joe at pacific performance however i didn't authorize any use of this video for dynamic diesel however i believe the 2 are tied together i'll find out tomorrow for sure. If they aren't one in the same then i guess i must be getting some type of compensation. In a way it's good to have it here since everyone who doubts my claims can actually see them themselves dynojet corrected at 1. 15 at around 5000 ft.

2nd run is the good one

first is with the six gun off and just xcellerator

2nd is with the xcellerator on and the six gun on level 3

and 3rd is the xcellerator and the six gun on 4 and it downshift i believe i can't remember been messing with that video so damn much

I wouldn't worry about giving permission :eek: Looking at the floor for the entire run sure didn't prove to me that your Gen 3 is going to break the dyno. :{

tell em off! Id be Pi**ed if that was my clip and they didnt ask!!! but maybe you can get some free goodies outa the deal if they were to keep using it? :-laf

Ian

of course it's not gonna break it it was just the parts they used to see the exhaust is all that's the reason for the downside i've got tons and tons of video footage that's just the part they used u see... ... . but that dyno did actually break 2 times while i was on it and i got those video's too. However i don't care if or what it's of it's still mine and it's being used for advertisement and therefore i should have to grant permission

Big deal get over it, besides I sure wouldn't want to give permission to that video anyways. Are you going IRP??? I need to know so that I can bring my goalie equipment to put on and watch you bust that DYNO :-laf :-laf :-laf

i'm not going anything but u know u are always free to post a video of you vehicle if you want. I'd like to see it since you think this is so bad. go ahead put one on there i wanna see your exhaust on a dyno run and then we will compare. The point is u cannot use someone's stuff without their permission that's the whole point of the matter. if you want the video with the dyno where it busted i'll email it to you it looks the same other then the fact the guy holding the break got the crap shocked out of his hand when he hit it is all and it's from the front view.

of course you wouldn't have to worry about anyone using your video for advertisement unless it was an old folks home maybe. so if you don't have anything of any value on this subject why are u talking? I don't need advice from someone with an air intake on what is what. If you don't know or can't help me then why waste your time and my time. go ask a big company what happens if someone uses their video w/o permission i bet they will get sued. However the video quality was not the greatest it's still the fact of the matter of the way things work. U wanna watch me bust a dyno post your email i'll send it to ya. So besides that kwickspool if you can't help me what do you want. Post your video's like i said then we'll compare. until then you are meerly a spectator

I wonder if there were some papers that you signed that allowed them to use it? Perhaps since it is at there facility it is there video too? You might be able to get some free goodies if you politely mention that you felt you should have been asked first. To go at them screaming that they owe you money or if you threaten litigation will probably not get you far. Just depends on the shop. If they value there customers I would say the first situation would be the path i chose.

yeah i haven't said anything to them yet the guys at the facility are cool as hell they give me sweet dyno discounts so i wouldn't say or ask them anything i gave the video to pacific performance, well several video clips but i never gave dynamic diesel anything and today when i spoke to joe at pacific i asked him if he was in any way shape or form tied in with dynamic diesel and he didn't even know who they were. Not only that but i really don't want myself afilliated with the ad since it's misrepresented. The program doesn't have the tire size feature that the ad says, also the claims are exaggerated but who's aren't. I got 170 higher on level 3 then i did without the program on level 3. However with no six gun period it wasn't anywhere near that i think like 80 more. i was happy enough with the results of both products together though so i kept it. After i get those dtt twins next month i'll dyno it again with just the program and with both again and see how much difference there is because there is a ton of unused fuel so i hope that makes the numbers more presentable since they did their testing on a twin turbo vehicle.

good idea all in the approach but that's not their facility it's pfi in fort collins coloroado

the video was one of several i shot there since the dyno was broken for so long they hooked me up big time dyno time, for free too. I still slipped the guy like 40 bucks though he's good people

I donno moolie, I think you're getting a bit too worked up over it. It's not like they're a major retailer and the video isn't that great.

Back in 1993 I designed some equipment inspection stickers and had them custom made by United Ad Label, now Veriad, and imagine my surprise a few years later when I stumbled across one of their catalogs and found my stickers in it(they're the colored numbered stickers at bottom of this page and top of the next) http://www.veriad.com/product/ProductCategory.jsp?BranchId=341 I didn't get preterbed over it, didn't think it was a big deal. Evidently they're selling pretty well if they kept them in their catalog for 12 years.

PS: The pink "7" isn't really pink, it's light orange. . . didn't want anyone getting the wrong idea :-laf

yeah i saw that that's why i asked the owner of pacific today but he said he never heard of them that's trippy i'm not really that mad other then the fact the ad is not represented properly and there are some untrue things there i don't wanna be associated with. To be honest if they use the video no big deal but the ad needs to be correct. They could throw in a couple nitrous bottles too u know for charity

video copyright

Moolie -

bottom line: you took the video (good, bad, or indifferent) - if you didn't give express permission to the company who's website it is hosted on, they are in violation of copyright, whether or not you've gone through the hassle of obtaining "official" copyright. Technically, anything that you can say you've done (and have the original tape to prove it) is yours to do with as YOU please. Even a simple web page has an implied copyright.

Unfortunatly, as far as their use of it online, you could sue, but the hassle and cost would be wayyyyy too much. If you don't want it online, ask them nicely, to take it down. If they don't and you still want it down, a letter to their ISP from a lawyer stating that they are hosting provable copyrighted material will probably do the trick.

right on sir thanks very much that's what i was looking for. Like i said it's not a big deal they have it but i want them to change the advertisement to the correct features and numbers that it had. It's hard because they say power at the crank which is crazy. I am hoping i get my dtt twins early next month and then i will run just the program and see the increase since they did test it on a truck with twins that's only fair i guess. I know it's a small time business but i'm a pretty straight up person and i love the program but on peak to peak hp it's not as high as they claim, i've yet to see one that is though. the early part of the curve is a lot more though and the banks alone seems to do well like 80 mph and over but very sluggish on the bottom. I think i may get that damn crazy larry i called on it today and it's not much and they said something like 230 what's with that box anyone got the scoop
