That's not in the VIN.

Take the VIN to a Dodge dealer and ask him to run a "Vehicle Information Plus Summary Report". That will show what equipment was built into the truck, including all the paint codes, etc. Very useful.

The code for Limited Slip on my 92 is "DSA".

if the sticker is stil under the hood, it'll say too. located on the front driver's corner of the hood's greasy side

I was told this is not available for vehicles older than 10 years... . as an FYI. Although I have not been able to confirm that.

Oh ok, I figured Dodge did that like Ford does. I will have to check it out, it doesnt really matter anyways my dad bought the truck!!!

I (sorta) think that the VIN will include the differential. I have the FSM and it decodes the VIN and the steel plate rivited onto the cowl. I think it also lists the door sticker (there is a door sticker, right?) and the sticker under the hood. Look at the first four or five pages. It gives all sorts of interesting info there. I guess you really gotta want to read that kind of stuff.
