Can anyone tell me which letter or number on the VIN tells me if I have a limited slip rear axle? This is in a 2006 Mega-cab with the automatic. Thanks.

Photo of sticker on glovebox door...

It is referred to as anti-spin not limited slip. Look in your glove box, and on the inside glove box door it should tell you a list of items on your truck, like rear gear ratio, trans type and the last item if you have it should say anti-spin.

I have added a picture that shows what the equipment id sticker looks like (at least on my '03)

Last I heard you can actually ask a dealership to print out an entire list of info... I used to have it for my pickup. . but I think its lost. .

Taking this a step further, if no limited slip / anti spin from the factory, what are the options to add one? Mopar? Aftermarket? Automatic locker?

Aftermarket will be the best pricing and choices. There should be a local gear shop that can help you decide what will suit your needs best

You can email Chrysler Customer Assistance with your VIN# and they will email you your build sheet printout. Here's where I emailed: -- email address removed --

I have done this and an email was sent to me with all the listings of what my truck has. Nice to know when ordering parts or working on it.

Put in the last 8 characters of your VIN and ask for the build sheet. The code for anti-Spin Differential is DSA.

I got my sheet last week less than 8 hours after I submitted the request. Lots of interesting information!
