VIN STICKER ON DOOR

I GOT MY TRUCK IN DECEMBER AND JUST RECENTLY NOTICED THAT THERE WAS NO VIN STICKER ON THE DOOR. THE DEALER DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO THNK FINALLY CALLED AFTER A DAY AND SAID THEY WOULD GET ONE BUT MIGHT TAKE 6 MONTHS. SAID TRUCK WAS ASSEMBLED IN MEXICO AND THEY ARE NOT REQUIRED. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM

My '94 model was made in Mex. and so is the '97 I have now. Both came from the factory with VIN # on door post. Your dealer is blowing smoke up your a$$. All new autos brought into this country for sale are required to have VIN #s. You should not have to wait 6 months to get this corrected!!

Someone is blowing smoke - My 2500 was assembled in Mexico also and it did come with a door sticker showing the VIN number. I ordered it in May 2K and got it in Sept 2K - so I don't think anything has changed in that short of time.

my 98 1500 built in mexico , had the sticker , it was a quadcab and the sticker is on the rear door on drivers side , did you miss it ? thats where the sticker on my 2000 quadcab is also ...
