vin X (id your truck?)

I saw the tail end of a bit on TV about a system for etching your vin # into the window glass on your vehicle to discourage theft.

I did not see enough to get details, soruces etc.

Anyone know about this and where to get it?

I would call some of the local security alarm &/or glass shops for this. Some of the glass shops here do it and so do some of the alarm installers. Usually get an insurance discount (depends on the company).

I don't know too much about it, but I know all of the dealers around here do it. Not sure exactly how much it costs, but I THINK they do it for about $400.
