Jeeps..whos got what

94 2wd 1500 360 v8 trans problems.

No surprise there. Came out a couple of days ago they're going to drop all but 18 models - six cars, six trucks, and six SUV's.

Shutting down a third of the dealerships, laid off all the design staff and canceled all development work until 2012, told the plants to use even cheaper parts in the power train "where the customer can't see it", opening new engineering centers overseas, cutting deals with overseas suppliers while trying to shaft Plastec at the same time.....

They're paring CJD down to an appealing size and price for sale to another OEM, and the leading rumor is that it's Nissan. A rebadged Cummins would put them in the truck segment big time after the flop that was the Titan, and they've got the smaller cars that CD doesn't.

Hmm well its a bummer for sure. What young American boy hasnt said to himself "one day... " about the prospects of buying one? Ive been holding out hope that they'd wake up and make the Viper a true Vette-killer. Theres so much potential to be had from that car. Lighten it up a little (ok, ALOT) solid rear axle, refine the interior, lower the price, hell throw a blower on that V10 and go hunting for Vettes on Saturday night. But, I guess its expected.

I will buy one, one of these days, maybe after the trucks payed off Ill get a used one...

Wait and see how long ZR1 lasts or even the Z06. Thank your wonderful president and his new fuel economy standards.

well, currently, the vette is the only "super car" that doesn't get the gas guzzler tax. not sure about the ZR1, wouldn't be surprised if it's rather efficient

"Business people" would have been a good description of how Daimler ran things.

As far as Cerberus, I wouldn't do them the dignity of calling them "business people". Those guys are nothing but loan sharks in three piece suits.

Do a little web searching on Cerberus and see what you come up with. Makes the term "business ethics" rank right up there with "military intelligence" and "uncontested divorce" for oxymorons.
