So if you came into a bit of extra money and were looking at buying a used Viper, what year would you look at. Don't know that I'll ever have to make a choice, but it sure would be nice to have one for cruising, maybe a cross country trip with the wife. Stay on the back roads and see the America not visible from the superslab.

I'd either buy a year that had sidepipes or retrofit one that didn't have 'em OEM. I dig sidepipes.

Not to pee on the parade too much... but IMHO, 488cid of V10 should make a LOT more power than it does in the older Vipers. Even the newer models are not all that impressive considering the serious CI's under the bonnet...

there is a place here in Collinsville IL that specializes in good used and crashed repairable vipers. also parts for them. the owner of that place comes to the track often and clicks off 9's on his BFG drag radials and cruises on home afterwards :D

With the current price of Vipers climbing again and the SRT-10 trucks falling I'd say by the truck. 05 Solar Yellow SRT-10 would be my choice for the "Snake Disease" that ails you. When I asked why the truck value was falling I was told by a good friend who is a dealer in high end stuff that the new Quad Cab versions have hurt their market interest as no one wants a Quad cab Performance truck... ... A used 05 would be great, so would a low mileage 03.

9's, that is scary fast, gotta be supercharged. Nitros?

Hammer, while the SRT-10 are nice trucks, they ain't Vipers. Many moons ago I passed on buying a new Hemi Cuda, bought the 70 340 Duster I still have instead. So I guess a Viper is my way of making it up to myself.
