For all those who have been wanting to know. . . the answer is the 6. 7 damper does NOT fit a 24-valve :{
I just received my damper Friday and first thing popped the stock damper off and laid them side by side. First obvious difference is the 6. 7 damper's pulley is about 20% larger in diameter. Secondly when I went to try and mount it on the end of the crank it interfered with the oil pan rail, leaving it about 1/3" short of bolting down. The back mount side of the damper is also about 1/4" of an inch deeper than the 24v one.
Basically the 24V oil pan has a recess or "notch" if you will where the stock damper spins, and the larger diameter of the 6. 7 one (and because of its tone wheel) it is too big to fit in this recess.
It may be possible by carefully machining off the tone wheel and grinding on the edge of the oil pan you could get it to fit, but you still have the issue of it being bigger and overdriving the water pump and alternator. Since I tend to get into the red zone of the tachometer frequently I would be concerned about this.
In the end it's not worth all the hassle to modify things to save about $150, for us 24-valve guys looks like our only option is the Fluidampr. Too bad, the 6. 7 damper is HEAVY. . . it weighs at least 3 times as much as the stock 24v unit!
