Volant Air System

Does anybody have this air system on there truck and if so how do they like it.

Looks to me as if the only place to feed it air is the hole on the back side. From the picture it looks as if it should be a larger intake port to feed that filter.

SFord, it draws air from the rear and also uses the snorkel just like the stock box. Volante cut me a smokin deal since I went to their shop a couple of times. The unit is first rate and does away with the flat filter sealing issues that come with a stock box. It took about five minutes to install and my far from scientific testing didn't reveal any performance gains or EGT drops. I had it on with a Scotty hole in the cowl and it is just as noisy as a Scotty.

Again, results are far from scientific, it needs to be on a dyno.



I did find a place www.pickuptruck.com that has an online store that sells Volante, and they would sell the system for less than $200 if you are interested.

SFord, the unit for the diesel trucks(#16659?) was not on the website yet, as it is new. I calld the 800 number and they said they didn't have a listing from Volant yet. But, as soon as they do, they will sell it priced like the others, which they sell at jobber price to the public. I believe it is list less 33%, which should put it at less than $200.
