Volant Cold Air Intake 04.5

Has anybody bought and installed the volant cold air intake system on an 04. 5? I had some problems with the installation and was wondering if it was just me.

what kinda problems did you have? I was thinking of getting this unit for my 04. 5cause my dad has it on his Hemi and it looked to be a well built system.

You need to buy it with the 8 ply filter. (comes with 4 ply) not good. The connection between the box and the tube are at differrent heights though it can be taken up with the "hump hose" other than that it seems great. You will need to buy their charging kit for cleaning and oiling. The bottom scoop is an extra they don't seem to note that though. hyperformance.com had the best price good to deal with too. I think the system is good otherwise. Good luck

I'm interested in any noise changes compared to an open filter element. It looks like it would get cooler air then a PG7 kit.

There is a noticable change in noise ( we know you young guys like that) than the stock one. You can really here the torbo spool up now . I've noticed a small increase in mpg. Unknown if any extra power. I am really into the mph thing and I feel it is important to suck that cold air from the outside.
