Dodge srt-10 roll over

I sold my wife's 2000 Beetle (Gasser) and bought a new Jetta TDI to replace it. Only have had it for one week but I love this thing! I manually checked the fuel mileage and got 45 (same as computer) It is unbeliveably quiet with the common rail injection.

Anyone else have a TDI and do you like yours?

Paul

it is the best car i have ever owned. had it for ten months now. it is a six speed manual. if you do not tell a passenger they will never know it is diesel. more powerful than any car i have been around. i think it could peg that speedometer. wont say what it shows or people will not believe me. the jetta is very comfortable. a very good companion to my 06.

I have a 98 with 187,000. Love it.

After your warranty is over, look

into a VAG-COM tool to work on

it yourself.

Picked up an '06 Jetta w/auto and only 20K miles for my daughter in June. 42-43 mpg. VAG software is in my future. Also have a '98 Passat with 1. 9T turbo gasser that the son drives.

we just got a 06. Got off to a bad start as the supposed 70k service along with a brake job basically did not happen. No fault off the car. We like it, quite rockstar mileage and will blow the doors off a Prius. Its not a sports car but a very good balance between performance and mpg. we did drive one that was chipped and it was a huge difference as soon as it 2krpm

Bought mine new in 05 (old body style) and love it. Best mileage has been 51, at 761 miles on one tank. All around excellent car. I'm 6'2" and am very comfortable in it. It's just been a great dependable car.

Wife drives a 99. 5 5 speed that now has 120+K on it. Gets great mileage, 45 + even when I drive it and hammer it.

We have had lots of issues with the CEL (Check Engine Light) being on, due to the glow plug circuit. Finally HAD to take it to a dealer because it was due emissions insp (can't take it thru with the CEL on). Dealer fixed it and it lost seat of the pants power in my opinion, but still gets the same mileage.

Other than that we will probably drive it till it pukes.

Got an 03 Jetta TDI 5 spd 120k loaded. 45 mpg average. Been a good car other than minor common VW gremlins. Bought it with 30k on it.

Got an 06. 5 ( May 07 build date ) with auto DSG great car 50k miles 43mpg average, a little better in the winter, a little worse in the summer with the AC on

We've had the TDI for almost a month and I love it! Sad thing is I never get to drive it. MPG has been 45 and wife has been doing jack rabbit starts and varying the speed to get it broke in.

This morning she told me when she got fuel, the clerk inside the station ran out and told her "do you realize that is diesel???" My wife thought it was pretty funny!! :-laf

had a 96 passat tdi and sold it to my parents when i got my 98 jetta tdi, my mom calls me every month when she fills it and brags about her 900 plus miles from a tank. i only have a 14 gal tank she has a 20. but mine is faster.

Get used to that. That has happened many times to us.

I just say "I don't know what you are talking about. Gas is gas". That gets them. :-laf

I got a 2001 TDI jetta auto about 2 months ago. Ive been getting around 42 mpg. Is there any mods out there to get any better mpg, (not that 42 is bad or anything) I drive 100 miles a day and fuel is 3. 50 up here in Alaska.
