Voltage Gauge
Had a problem with my voltage gauge 2 days ago. The needle dropped all the way to the left for no apparent reason and the check gauges light came on (along with the annoying chime chime chime ... ). I drove home, turned off the engine, then turned the key back on (not starting it) and it would go up into the normal range for a few seconds and drop back down to nothing and the light and chime would come on. Everything seemed normal otherwise. Yesterday morning I took it to the dealer but, as you would expect, it wasn't acting up that day. What they said was they think it's a programming glitch in the "mechanical cluster". They told me a TSB is in the works for a flash of the cluster programming but they didn't know what all it is supposed to cure. I wonder if this is related to the intermittent check gauges light flashing that a few of us have experienced.
Anyone else see this weirdness with their voltage gauge?
