I've never seen a part number for any parts in any DC radio. They effectively have "no serviceable parts inside". Up here in Kanada, there is a central depot that repairs (or exchanges, perhaps) DC radios, and it's done through the dealer.
What the local shops do when they repair these things, I have no idea.
Found an encoder (volume control) on www.digikey.com with a part number of 401-1400ND on page 1357 of their catalog. The existing one must be removed and the new one soldered in. The new stem will not accept the old knob is the only problem, other than that I have volume control back.
