I have 3 of them stacked in series on my truck. Mileage is up to 32mpg. :-laf

yeah i tried 4 stacked and lost a little torque... i think the fourth one straightened out the airflow from the turbo at the low boost and caused the swirl effect in the head to cancel out.

But on the serious side what possible good could come from that?

ive had people ask me about those for gassers. i told them they would be a waste of time. the air may swirl. but just until it slams into the throttle plate. but on out ctd's, who knows. there is nothing to stop the airflow from swirling. at least until it gets into the intake anyway. just my . 02.

Wow, here Racinduallie is cutting off his intake manifold for better airflow and all he really needs is a vortex valve.

Install instructions:

Step 1 - Make sure the engine is off. Always wear gloves when working on machinery that is not running. Using a 7/16" end wrench we loosened both clamps where the inter-cooler meets the air intake manifold. Loosening both clamps makes it easier.

So I guess it's safe to use bare hands on running machinery. I guess you wouldn't want the extra material of the glove getting caught in the machine. :-laf

i got em. i took off all my other ones base lined it, then put in one i saw an increase in hp of 0 then i put on two and so on untill 4 and respectivly got 0, 0, -1. I guess the 4th one was the final restriction it could take.

He is gonna be mad when he finds out he did all that R&D for nothin :-laf :-laf :-laf

These are sold to stop the swirling air and improve mileage. A similar device is sold for gassers to make the air swirl and thereby improve mileage. i guess the idea is to sell you something to fix a problem you think you might have. Personally, I've never seen any of these things work over the long haul when mileageis checked properly.
