Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) VP 44 install, have you done it??

Have any you guys put your own VP44 in? Mines getting here from cumminstuff.com today, going to put in in on Sunday. Would really like some help or tips from anyone who has done it. Good friend of mine is a heavy equipment mechanic, he is helping. I did a search and found no threads on anyone who installed their own. I know some of you have done it..... "I am my own warranty station" means not all of you have them done under warranty.

I did it myself a couple of months ago with the help of a shop manual and some tips from the fellows here. Piece of cake! Just be sure you have the key on the pump shaft on top so it doesn't fall out when you pull the pump. I also recommend having a crows foot line wrench for the injection lines. You can turn the motor with the nut on the alternator... great tip!
